Vendors

ARTS & CRAFTS APPLICATION

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • LOCALLY MADE: Only vendors selling their own work are permitted to sell at the market. Reselling is not permitted.

  • HEALTH & SAFETY: Vendors who sell cosmetics and skin-care products must comply with the Montana Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (MCA-50-31). Vendors cannot sell edible CBD products.

SET-UP:

  • YOUR SETUP: Please describe your setup as best as possible in your application. Each vendor is assigned to one 10’x10’ space. Please do not use promotional flags or banners. If you are assigned a space on the lawn, no stakes may be used. Set-up begins at 3:30pm, no earlier, under the direction of the Market Manager. You will be notified of where you may load/unload for setup and where vendor parking is permitted during the market.

  • SELLING: Selling begins at 5:00pm, not before. Vendors may sell to other market vendors before 5:00. Vendors must stay set up until 7:30pm—this is both for the vitality of the remaining market vendors, and the safety of market-goers. Vendors are expected to attend every market (rain or shine).

PAYMENTS:

  • MARKET FEES: For each market, the Market Manager will collect a $1.00 site fee, plus 5% of your gross sales. Payment will be taken at the close of each market at the market tent from 7:30-8:00 p.m. only.

  • RESORT TAX: The City of Whitefish assesses a 3% Resort Tax on many of the items that typical Arts & Crafts vendors sell. Vendors are expected to remit the Resort Tax directly to the City of Whitefish. Resort Tax transmittal forms and a list of taxable items are available here: https://www.cityofwhitefish.gov/336/Resort-Tax

SELECTION:

  • APPLICATION: All vendors, including returning vendors, must complete the online registration form or submit this form by email (info@whitefishfarmersmarket.org) by the DEADLINE March 31, 2025. Click here to download the form.

  • SELECTION: Due to the success of the market, we have a limited number of spaces available for vendors. Preference will go to past vendors in good-standing and to vendors selling foods with locally-sourced ingredients. We will maintain a “wait list” of additionally approved vendors, and contact them if space becomes available later in the season. Approved vendors are expected to attend every market, all season. Approved applicants will be notified of acceptance to the market by April 30, 2025.

  • NOTICE: The Whitefish Farmers Market Committee reserves the right to accept or decline each vendor’s participation in the Whitefish Downtown Farmers Market and may suspend a vendors participation at any time for any cause.

  • CONTACT: Email questions to info@whitefishfarmersmarket.org.
